Annual Report 2025
Dear respected readers,
It is my great honor to present the Annual Report of the Organization for People’s Health in Action (OPHA) for the year 2025. OPHA, though a young organization established in 2017 in Kabul, Afghanistan, was founded by senior professionals with extensive experience in international and national organizations, as well as in UN agencies.
This report has been prepared to provide a clear and comprehensive picture of OPHA’s activities and major achievements during the year 2025. It reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and the delivery of quality health services across Afghanistan. From the HER project in Logar, implemented in partnership with CAF, to the AHF-supported MHNT teams in Nangarhar, Laghman, and Kunar, and the AHF-funded HSCs project in Paktika province, OPHA has strived to serve communities with dedication and professionalism.
We are particularly proud of the success that enabled OPHA to find new opportunities for serving the people of Laghman province through the HER‑AF2 Project and the AHF‑funded initiatives. These efforts have strengthened our presence in the region and allowed us to deliver essential health services to communities in need, further advancing our mission of improving access to healthcare for all.
The purpose of this report is not only to document our progress but also to strengthen OPHA’s visibility and legitimacy in line with our vision and mission. We remain committed to enhancing our effectiveness and efficiency in service delivery, while ensuring that our staff and stakeholders are aligned with the organization’s core values, strategies, and mandate.
On this occasion, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all readers of this report, and especially to those who share constructive feedback and valuable insights. Your contributions are vital in helping us improve and grow as an organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the Afghan people.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mohammad Nazir Rasuly Director General, OPHA
